Based in Akron, NY (9G3), Bob has his ATP and CFII ratings. He publishes the Over the Airwaves online aviation journal. "This complimentary bi-weekly e-mailing is being sent to pilots and aviation enthusiasts around the world. Its aim is to promote flight safety, encourage students and new pilots, and to build enthusiasm for aviation in general." It's read by over 10,000 GA pilots each month from around the world.
Gene Benson
Gene is one of those fortunate people who was able to make a career out of his passion for flying. His career has included being a flight instructor, a dean of aeronautics for an aviation college, instructor for a major airline, and a training consultant to several airlines. Gene has logged more than 14,000 hours as a pilot and flight instructor. Gene also speaks at many aviation safety seminars. NOAA Aviation Digital Data Service

NOAA Aviation Weather Center
This site contains a full range of aviation weather products, notably a Standard Briefing page that allows the pilot to check the weather, then follow along with a briefer during a standard briefing, seeing the charts and maps the briefer sees as the briefer interprets them. If you primarily brief over the phone, this will dramatically improve your understanding of weather and weather briefings.
